Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist Pathway 
ENMU-Ruidoso CyberSkills2Work offers a one-year, intensive training program that is designed to prepare students to work as a cyber defense infrastructure support specialist to meet current and future employer requirements. The learned requirements are based on the NICE Framework Work Role’s categories of cybersecurity job functions: operate, maintain, protect and defend. The Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist Pathway is designed to prepare participants for a system administrator work role where they can test, implement, deploy, maintain, and administer infrastructure hardware and software. They will also be able to set up and maintain a system or specific components of a system (for example, installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software; establishing and managing user accounts; overseeing or conducting backup and recovery tasks; implementing operational and technical security controls; and adhering to organizational security policies and procedures). Participants will also learn how to evaluate and implement security protocols and practices within their organization. Cost: Free.
Microsoft Cybersecurity Scholarship Program
The Microsoft Cybersecurity Scholarship Program: Powered by Last Mile Education Fund supports community college degree and industry certificate completion through scholarships (up to $500) or subsidies for cybersecurity certification exam costs (up to $375). Financial assistance is intended to cover short-term basic needs, such as food, rent, health-related, transportation/car issues, and/or a laptop/device. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
ISSA Education Foundation Scholarship
The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) awards several scholarships each year to students pursuing a career in computer science with a focus on information security or privacy. Application period is generally March through mid-July.
NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing
The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing award honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. The National Center for Women & IT (NCWIT) selects award recipients based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing; leadership ability; academic history; and plans for post-secondary education. Application period is generally September and October.
Center for Cyber Safety and Education
The nonprofit, charitable foundation of the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, Inc., (ISC2) runs a global scholarship program that helps undergraduate and graduate students, especially women, continue their studies in information assurance and cybersecurity.
CRA-W Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security
The Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security (SWSIS) program provides scholarships of up to $10,000 for women studying for their bachelor’s or master’s degrees in fields relating to information security.
Cisco Global Cybersecurity Scholarship
U.S. multinational technology company Cisco Systems awards selected recipients scholarship packages consisting of training, mentoring, and certification aligned with the Security Operations Center Analyst role.
