The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have designated Eastern New Mexico University-Ruidoso as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity (CAE-2Y).
Presentation to Cybersecurity Certificate student Johnnie Wright (SUN Online Student from Santa Fe Community College) enrolled in the Computer and Network Security Certification Program offered at ENMU-Ruidoso.
Professor Stephen Miller invited his students to participate in the National Cyber League 2014 Cybersecurity Challenge. Students take part in “games” of controlled-environment hacking to learn how to protect companies from criminal cyber-activity. Johnnie Wright was the only one to sign up and no one was more shocked when he placed 34th out of more than 560 competitors in Game One.
