Steps for High School Students to enroll in ENMU-Ruidoso’s Dual Credit Program

Dual Credit is a program in which eligible high school students can take college-level courses (online and on campus) and earn high school credit concurrently. Students do not have to pay for tuition or textbook costs. Student is responsible for lab fees.

Students must take a placement assessment before enrolling. The assessment can be taken at the Testing Center on the ENMU-Ruidoso campus. Call 575-257-2120 Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to schedule and appointment. Scores from the ACT can be used in place of taking the placement assessment.

Fully complete ALL necessary forms for Dual Credit.

Signatures from both student and parent/legal guardian are required if student is under the age of 18.

  • Dual Credit Enrollment form
  • State of NM Dual Credit Request form
  • FERPA release form
  • High school transcript

Students must meet with their high school counselor to get approval for the classes they wish to enroll in. The high school counselor must sign the State of NM Dual Credit form. Students will not be registered for the class without that signature.

Demonstrate college readiness for the course by meeting all course prerequisites, assessment placement scores

and the completion of the required enrollment documents.
