Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI)

The federally funded program, Title V was introduced in 2013 and is strategically planned to serve a community with the need for programs connecting Hispanics and disadvantaged students to reach high demand opportunities in emergency service careers.

Climbing the Ladder: New Programs for First Responders

ENMU-Ruidoso’s three new programs utilize best practices and competency-based curricula for first responders – an AAS/Certificate in Wildland Fire Science; an AAS in Emergency Medical Services; and an AAS/Certificate in Structure Fire Science. To promote access to high-demand programs, curricula will combine face-to-face classes, online classes, and hybrid instruction (online content plus on-campus lab work). New online services (such as Academic and Career Advising, Registration, Admissions, Orientation, Financial Aid, and Degree Audit) will support program access and completion.
