The Certificate of Completion in Agriculture is designed to prepare students for immediate employment in farming, ranching, agribusiness, and agricultural support industries, while also providing a pathway toward advanced study in agricultural sciences. This one-year program emphasizes a core curriculum in plant and soil science, animal husbandry, agricultural equipment operation, and sustainable production practices. Upon completion, students will have the practical skills and foundational knowledge required for entry-level positions in agricultural operations. Classroom learning is paired with hands-on training in field and laboratory settings.

Associate of Science

The Associate of Science Degree in Agriculture is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in the agricultural sciences, preparing them for transfer to a four-year institution or for entry-level positions in the agricultural industry. This course of study includes instruction in plant and soil sciences, animal science, agricultural business, and sustainable farming practices. Students may choose an emphasis in Crop Production, Animal Science, or Agricultural Business, enabling them to develop specialized skills aligned with their career goals. Graduates will be prepared to contribute to the production, management, and stewardship of agricultural resources in diverse settings.

Additional hours may be required for program requirements for transfer students who are NMGEC complete.
