If you have enrolled with SBWFA, these courses – as well as other training and/or experience obtained previously through government agencies – are eligible to apply credit-for-prior-learning and you could receive a degree in an accelerated pathway.
SBWFA:
When to admit
Registration opened September 1. Interested students need to apply with SBWFA as soon as possible, there is an option on their website that will allow students to inform SBWFA that they are ENMU-Ruidoso Students.
ENMU-Ruidoso:
When to admit
Class registration for ENMU-Ruidoso opens November 2. Students who are enrolled in SBWFA can meet with their advisors at this time to let them know which classes they have enrolled in with SBWFA.
SBWFA:
How to admit
Students should go to the SBFWA website, and under the registration page, click on “ENMU Student,” and choose the courses they wish to take.
ENMU-Ruidoso:
How to admit
Students who are interested in the 2026 Sierra Blanca Wildland Fire Academy should have already registered on the SBWFA website. When Spring registration opens in November, meet with your advisor to let them know what courses you will be enrolled in, and they will get them on your transcripts.
