Enrollment Data for Spring 2026
ENMU-Ruidoso released enrollment data on Friday, Dec. 12, showing the fifth consecutive year of enrollment growth. Overall enrollment increased from 766 unduplicated headcount in 2020-21 to 1,216 in 2024-25, representing a 59 percent increase in unique students served. As well as a 14 percent enrollment growth in unduplicated headcount over last year.
“Our growth is due to the work of outstanding ENMU-Ruidoso faculty and staff, who work tirelessly to help students be successful,” said Dr. Ryan Trosper, ENMU-Ruidoso Campus President. “It is also a testament to our local community, legislators, the ENMU System, New Mexico Higher Education Department, and our Governor for supporting higher education, including facility improvements for our campus, leading to a better campus experience for students.”
ENMU-Ruidoso Spring 2026 Semester registration is open now during regular business hours. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Extended registration hours will be available on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The campus will be closed for winter break from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 4. Spring Semester classes begin Monday, Jan. 12.
Students can register in person at the ENMU-Ruidoso campus (709 Mechem Drive), or call 575-315-1120 to schedule an appointment with an advisor to complete the registration process. Online registration is also available for currently enrolled students.
The Spring 2026 class schedule is available on ENMU-Ruidoso’s website ruidoso.enmu.edu through the Quick Links menu in the upper right corner of the page. Scholarships and financial assistance are available.
The ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation Scholarship Deadline is Jan. 10, 2026. The Foundation provides scholarships to ENMU-Ruidoso students each Spring and Fall semesters and Summer Session. To obtain a scholarship application, please visit the Foundation Office in Room 161, call 575-315-1216, or email Rochelle.Lentschke@enmu.edu.
ENMU-Ruidoso offers 17 associate degree programs and 20 programs that lead to a certificate of completion or certificate of occupational training.
Associate of Arts degrees offered include Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Elementary/Special Education, General Studies, Psychology, Secondary Education and University Studies.
Associate of Applied Science degrees offered include Business Administration, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, Information Systems Cybersecurity, Police Science, Structural Fire Science Program and Wildland Fire Science Program.
Associate of Science degrees offered include Natural Science and Pre-Engineering.
Certificates of Completion include Bookkeeping/Accounting, Child Development, Computer & Network Security, Construction Trades Core, Core Curriculum, Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist, Fermentation Science, Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, Human Services Alcohol & Drug Abuse Studies, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)-Residential, Structural Fire Science, Welding Technology, Wildland Fire Science and Wind Energy.
Certificates of Occupational Training include Culinary Fundamentals, Emergency Medical Technician, EMT-Advanced, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy and Pre-Nursing.
