ENMU-Ruidoso Branch Community College announces the dates for the week-long summer enrichment Kids College program will be held June 23-27. The program is offered Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Pre-registration is open through April 11. Half- and full-day options are available for youth who will have completed kindergarten through eighth grade this spring.
Pre-registration will hold your child’s spot until we have classes available for selection. Class and course descriptions will be coming soon. Pre-registered students will be notified when registration goes live when specific classes can be selected.
ENMU-Ruidoso Community Education Department is seeking enthusiastic and creative instructors to teach a one- to two-hour classes or a sport camp daily the week of June 23-27, the same time each day for all five days. The instructors decide on the topic and what ages of children they would like to teach; K-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade and 6th-8th grade. The target class size is 5-12 students per class.
Members of the community who are interested in teaching for Kids College will be required to have a background check. Kids College attracts students who have complete kindergarten through eighth grade from the area in a variety of subjects. Instructors are needed in many subject areas and are encouraged to submit proposals for classes they have an interest in teaching. Teaching credentials are not required but expertise and enthusiasm in a subject area are essential.
Instructors will be compensated based on the number of students in their class, which includes a class supply stipend. Kids College class proposals may be submitted by April 11 at 5 p.m. and will be considered on a first-come basis.
