What You Should Know

Scholarships are designed to reward, encourage and assist students in their pursuit of academic excellence and leadership roles.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Currently admitted and enrolled college students at ENMU-Ruidoso are eligible to apply for Foundation-sponsored scholarships. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Foundation Director, Rochelle Lentschke, at her office near the front entrance of campus; via email at rochelle.lentschke@enmu.edu; or by calling 575-315-1216.

The application must be completed and received by the ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation on the Ruidoso campus before the stated application deadline. Application due dates in all cases are final. An interview may be required as part of the selection process. Applications will be evaluated and final award decisions will be made by the Scholarship Committee or by the sponsoring donor or organization.

Application deadlines:

  • Spring: January 10
  • Summer: May 10
  • Fall: May 10 (early) and August 10 (later applicants)

Scholarships are awarded for by semester. Applicants may reapply each semester.


**ALL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS WHO RECEIVE AN ENMU-RUIDOSO FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING:**

  • Send a letter to thank the donors of the scholarship
  • Attend the annual awards assembly
  • Volunteer in at least one Foundation fund-raising event

Failure to comply will result in the loss of the scholarship.


The ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation has worked diligently to create opportunities for individuals to achieve their educational goals. We have several scholarship options available as a result of generous individuals and companies who are willing to invest in the success of students on the Ruidoso campus. Each scholarship has distinct eligibility requirements.
