Oct. 5 Bob Koenig, Avid Hiker Hiking in and around Ruidoso. Hiking preparedness and safety. Most scenic hikes and level of difficulty-from beginner trails to more advanced trails.
Oct. 12 Clare Connelly, RPA, Archeologist The Archeology of White Sands National Park
Oct. 19 Ashley Roberts The Taste of My Past: A Journey in Creole Cooking, from recipes to traditions in Creole Cooking.
Oct. 26 Hope Floats Mentors Hope Floats is a non-profit addiction and counseling center that provides services and support to those struggling with addiction. They also serve the homeless population in Ruidoso and work with other non-profits in the area.
Nov. 2 Tim Roberts, Historian A history of Ruidoso and the Dowlin family-Lincoln County Pioneers. The New Wingfield house museum updates and purpose.
Nov. 9 No FYB this week Veterans’ Week Events
Nov. 16 Knutt Peterson, Archaeologist, Cave Specialist Fort Stanton Cave, also known as the Snowy River Cave. Presentation by the BLM Cave Specialist about the current exploration and project work going on at Fort Stanton Cave.
