ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation Hosts Cornhole Tournament to Support Athletics
The ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation partnered with Lincoln County Regulators Cornhole League for a Cornhole Tournament Saturday, Oct. 25 at Wingfield Park to benefit the athletic teams at ENMU-Ruidoso. Fifteen teams entered to compete in the tournament from Alamogordo, Artesia, Belen, Carrizozo, Hagerman, Las Cruces, Mescalero, Roswell, Ruidoso, Seminole, Silver City, Socorro and El Paso, Texas.
Tournament winners were the New Mexico Baggers Johnny Hernandez of Seminole and Jessie Rodriguez of Hagerman winning $500. Second place went to team OG Clark and Little Ace of Alamogordo, Jo Clark and his son, Adrian Clark, winning $300. The third-place team was the Silver Backs from Silver City, Dominik “Magoo” Varela and Zeke “Mercs” Holland winning $200. Ten-year-old Adrian Clark won the Cornhole Knockout Round winning $121.
Dr. Munchies y Mas was onsite to feed the teams. A 50/50 raffle was held for $20 per ticket and the winner was Stephen Jojola from Socorro winning $135.
The event raised $1,700 to support the ENMU-Ruidoso Athletic Teams. ENMU-Ruidoso Athletics currently has men’s and women’s Cross Country, Golf and Rodeo teams.
