Dr. Felicia Y. Frizzell of Ruidoso recently joined the ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation Board of Directors. The Foundation was established in 2011 and its sole purpose is to raise funds for academic programs and scholarships for the students of ENMU-Ruidoso Branch Community College.
Dr. Frizzell is the owner and dentist of Enchantment Family Dentistry in Ruidoso. She is a Ruidoso High School graduate and has a bachelor of arts degree in human biology from Stanford University, Sandford, Calif.; a master’s degree of health science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, M.D.; and earned a doctorate of dental surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco, Calif.
In May 2024 she became the practice owner of Enchantment Family Dentistry Practice. Previously she served as the general dentist at KidsKare in Alamogordo, the dental director of Indian Health Service in Mescalero and was the dentist for Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Carrizozo and Mountain View Dental in Ruidoso and was the deputy director of the Supervisory Dentist Clinical Programs for the Tséhootsooí Medical Center for the Navajo Nation.

“I am honored to join the ENMU-Ruidoso Foundation Board of Directors as the newest member, and I look forward to serving our vibrant community. Education has always been a core value of mine—having attended Ruidoso schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, I understand the importance of accessible higher education right here at home,” said Frizzell.
“My journey in higher education includes degrees from prestigious institutions, which have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to give back to my community. Returning home to serve Ruidoso has been a dream fulfilled, and I am committed to supporting the growth of a welcoming, inspiring college environment for our local residents. I believe that investing in education is essential for the continued development and success of our small town. I am excited to collaborate with fellow board members, students, and community members to foster opportunities and create a positive impact here in Ruidoso,” said Frizzell.
When Dr. Frizzell is not working, she enjoys life here in the mountains with her eight-year-old son, Freddie, and staying close to family and community. She spends her downtime reading, hiking, cycling, and attending local events. The majority of her time is spent providing dentistry for our community at her clinical practice, Enchantment Family Dentistry.
