RUIDOSO, NM — ENMU-Ruidoso College President Ryan Trosper attended the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2022 Annual Convention April 30-May 3 in New York City where he was recognized along with 16 other new community college presidents for attending the 2022 New CEO Academy.

Trosper was unanimously affirmed by the ENMU college board July 2020 after a national search that vetted more than 50 candidates. He is the fifth president to lead ENMU-Ruidoso. Trosper previously served as the vice president of student learning and success at ENMU-Ruidoso and has served in higher education institutions in Colorado and Kentucky in various roles ranging from associate vice president of instruction, adjunct faculty, director of institutional initiatives, dual credit instructor and collegiate coach.

Trosper grew up on a farm and ranch in rural Eastern Colorado and enjoys living and working in small communities. He and his wife Lessa, have three children, three dogs and raise chickens.

The AACC annual convention is one of the largest convenings of community college professionals offering professional development, speakers, and networking opportunities. The event creates opportunities for community college leaders to design and solve today’s priority challenges and to identify opportunities and innovation to support the country’s community college students.
