The ENMU-Ruidoso SkillsUSA chapter met the first Monday of the month to prepare for conferences and organize the inaugural chapter. Over 30 ENMU-Ruidoso students joined throughout the year and students practiced their contest details during their regularly scheduled trades classes such as nursing assistant, firefighting, welding, and job skills demonstration. Thirty-five students from ENMU-Ruidoso, Capitan, Ruidoso, and Cloudcroft high schools attended the Nov. 11 Regional Competition held on the college campus and at the Ruidoso High School Welding Shop. Twenty-one contest coordinators, judges, and student advisors also attended to support the eight contests that were hosted that day.
