Midland College won the 34th Annual High Country College Golf Tournament
The college golf tournament was hosted by ENMU-Ruidoso with women’s teams from Western New Mexico University (WNMU), Odessa College (OC), Western Texas College (WTC), New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) and men’s teams from NMJC, New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), Garden City Community College (KS) and Texas teams from OC, Midland College (MC), WTC, Ranger College, Weatherford College, North Central Texas College.
Odessa College won the women’s division. Women’s Team standings: 1. OC 2. NMJC 3. WNMU 4. WTC. Midland College’s powerful men’s team won the men’s division with terrific scores of 271-261 (27 under par, a new event record) and a new event record total of 816 (48 under par) for 54 holes of play. Event Champion was Måns Boje from Finland, of Ranger College with scores of 67-64-68-199 (17 under par) for 54 holes of play. Men’s team standings: 1. MC 2. OC, RC, WTC for a 3-way tie 5. WC 6. NMJC. 7. NMMI 8. GCCC 9. NCTC.
